BoxTops for Education & other News

This Bayside spirit pack is our first box tops incentive prize!  The drawing will be held soon.  For every 10 box tops submitted students receive one chance in the drawing.  Be sure to include your name on the baggie or envelope to receive your chance!

  • Bayside 6 participates in the 123-4 the community program offered by Farm Fresh.  Keytags are available at the school.  Pick one up, and when shopping at Farm Fresh, be sure to have your cashier apply your purchase to Bayside 6!  Our school earns free supplies for our students!

Student Dress Code

The purpose of the dress code is to create an environment conducive for all students to learn.

  • All shorts, skirts and dresses must meet the length of the longest fingertip when hands are extended at the student's sides.
  • Leggins may be worn with a shirt, shorts, skirt/dress that meets the above fingertip length.
  • All shirts must have at least a sleeve cap (No sleeveless shirts) and be the length of the torso not revealing any mid-drift.
  • Jeans with rips above the knee must be worn with leggins.
  • No slides, flip-flops, slippers, or backless shoes may be worn to school for safety reasons.

Low-Cost Internet Service Available

Connect2Compete (C2C) is a program sponsored by a consortium of cable and Internet service providers nationwide. Locally, Cox Communications participates by offering affordable Internet access and devices to students and families that qualify for the National School Lunch Program. Recently, Cox Communications expanded its outreach to include families receiving services through Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

For participating families, there are no deposits, no installation costs and no modem rental fees. The monthly rate for those who qualify is $9.95 and this discounted rate is guaranteed for two years with no contract. Eligible families with children enrolled in K-12 may apply for the Connect2Compete discounted service online or by phone. Instructions for applying for the service are included on the attached flyer from Cox Communications. Additional information is available by visiting www.connect2compete.org/cox.

FREE Microsoft Office 2016 for VBCPS Students and Staff

All VBCPS Students and Staff have access to free Microsoft Office 2016. Log in to your O365 account and go to the main O365 home page. There you will see "Install Office 2016 on your PC". The install is for PC and / or Mac.
